Hello. My very first blog, back in 2005, was on Blogger. Then, after a few years on Blogger, I migrated to TypePad. I spent a few years there, too. And then I migrated to WordPress, where I still have an active blog, fivedotoh.com.
So why am I returning to Blogger after all these years? Well, WordPress has introduced this thing called the block editor and it sucks. I blog mostly from my iPhone, and the block editor that WordPress has forced down our throats is definitely not optimized to use on a smartphone. There is just not enough screen real estate on my 5.5 inch screen to make it work.
So, I figured I'd give Blogger a second shot. I'm honestly not sure if I'll try and figure out how to get along with the new WordPress block editor, or if I'll just end up migrating everything back here. I guess time will tell.
Is there a way for me to follow you here, in case you stop blogging on Wordpress. I know you are new here and I am guessing that you have not set up a like button yet.
ReplyDeleteHi Jim, thanks for stopping by. I’m still trying to figure out how to reply to your comment and I’m not sure, if I’m able to do so, inks you’ll be notified. And as far as I can tell, there’s no equivalent feature on Blogger to the “like” button as there is on WordPress.
